Your diesel will obviously need different maintenance at different times. But these are the standard guidelines that are most likely going to keep your engine running its best.
Every 3,000-Miles or 90 Days You should get your oil and filter changed. You should also lubricate the chassis, check all your fluids and replace or add if necessary. Check your tire pressure, as well as all your belts and hoses.
Every 10,000-Miles or Yearly You should do a diagnostic check and change your diesel fuel filter every 10,000 miles or every 3rd oil change. You should also change your oil and filter. Lubricate the chassis, check you air filter, brakes and wheel bearings, and check all belts and hoses. Also check your cooling system hoses, and make sure your fluids are clean and have the proper pH levels. Check you vehicle for leaks or any other problems, and rotate your tires.
Every 20,000-Miles or 2 Years Start by repeating the steps from your 10,000-mile check. And then add a brake fluid flush, as well as cooling system flush. This will help remove contamination that builds up from normal wear and tear. Replace your automatic transmission fluid and change the filters. And dont forget that every 6 months, or 6,000 miles you should check the alignment, your steering, and suspension.
